Editorial Guidelines for the MADCA Communications Platforms

Our websites, Facebook page and newsletter are maintained and managed entirely by community volunteers. Without them there would be no digital platform supporting our community.

MADCA’s promotion of any political discussion or event is independent of any political or religious affiliation. MADCA maintains a stance of neutrality and non-partisanship in accordance with its objects.

Mapleton and District Community Website and 'Community Connect'

The primary purpose of the Community website is to provide a public profile for Mapleton and its surrounding districts. The website is an initiative of, owned, maintained, and hosted by the MADCA and is provided as a service, as is, to the community. We prioritise topics that promote, support, and strengthen our community with the aim of 'connecting community'.

"Community Connect" is a monthly community newsletter published by MADCA with the primary purpose of informing the community about MADCA's objectives, initiatives, and causes that it supports or promotes. It also aims to raise awareness of local issues and events that may be of interest to the community.

If you have events or news that you would like to promote through the 'What's On' page of the Website or the 'Community Connect', or if you notice any errors that you would like to see corrected, please email us at information@mapletonqueensland.com.au. We welcome submissions from the community, but we reserve the right to decline or edit any content that does not meet our submission guidelines.

Our submission guidelines require that all content is appropriate for a diverse community audience, is factually accurate and does not promote discriminatory or illegal activity. We prioritise constructive news which strengthens the community fabric. Please note that while every endeavor is made to publish submissions, we cannot guarantee that any article will definitely appear.

We strive to maintain editorial independence and provide a platform for community expression. The views expressed by contributors do not necessarily reflect those of MADCA or the website administrators. We appreciate your contributions to our community platform and look forward to sharing your news and events with the wider community.
